Synopsis:
A mentally unstable girl has nostalgic thoughts of her ex-boyfriend, her memories are content, although her happy facade shifts to guilt, anger and despair as she realises that she killed her ex-boyfriend. She misses him but if she can’t have him. No one can. Her mind plays tricks on her and deceives her. She loses her mind as she begins to think if it is real or not. She soon realises that she has left her earrings there at the scene of the crime. She wants to go back to where it all happened. Her hallucinations confuse her and she soon realises that she was in that place the whole time, her earrings were on her the whole time and that she didn’t kill him. She killed herself.
Information about the project:
Stuck In the Box- At the beginning of the term, we were introduced to a new project called ‘Stuck In a Box.’ We were given an object and an adjective. The object was a pair of earrings and the adjective was the word ‘nostalgic.’ We had to create a short film no longer than three minutes and to come up with a narrative connecting both of the earrings and nostalgia. This project was introduced to us by professionals who were expecting us to come up with a thorough pitch, describing our initial ideas at the end of the first week and straight into filming and editing.
